Police Warn of Deadly Drug

logo-grpdThe Grand Rapids Police Department is warning residents, specifically illegal drug users, of a potentially dangerous drug that is being recovered on the streets of Grand Rapids. Since July, the GRPD has had 6 cases where Fentanyl was mixed with cocaine and heroin. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 50 to 100 times as potent as morphine. Due to its rapid rate of absorption into the human body, reports indicate that as little as the amount equivalent to the size of a few grains of table salt can be deadly.
